MegaTronics
International Corporation has developed the most
flexible, adaptable and expandable fleet management system
offered today. Unlike the master-slave console
designs of the competition, MegaTrak® is state of the art well
into the 21st century using pay-at-the-pump architecture, just like retail.
MegaTronics has made a commitment to offer
our customers a selection of cost effective solutions
when choosing an automated fleet management and
accounting system. Our applications include a keypad
entry, a smart chip key, a mag swipe card and an
odometer capture without human error, trenching,
proximity issues, broken antennas or rings in the gas
tank.
The MegaTrak® Series 3000 accounts for transactions
using a direct, pay-at-the-pump architecture that can
be installed initially or phased in as your budget
parameters allow. MegaTrak® tracks all fuels and fluids to
include diesel, unleaded, propane (LPG), LNG,
CNG. Our micro control unit (MCU) which functions like an
accounting device can also control gates and
warehouse door entries for more security.
Fleet managers gain
complete control over their fleets and drivers and can
even send personalized messages to their operators
using the LCD reader on the MCU (micro control unit) accounting
box.

Army, the largest bus fleet in Mexico, departments of transportation and private fleets like Martin Marietta,
Xerox, Coca-Cola, and other fortune 500 companies have chosen MegaTrak® because of its versatility.
The MegaTrak® system easily retrofits to
existing dispensers, can be truck mounted track lube reels,
or do bulk-to-bulk transfers.
The MCU's are designed
to be replaced by a "swappable spare" or interchanged with a less
used MCU. Therefore, down time is minimal or
non-existent and fleet managers themselves are taught to fix MCU's themselves.
Smart-Chip
Keys™
which can be read and information written back to,
monitor the operators, vehicles, special persons and
administrative users. The keys can even be
initialized with the amount of fuel to be
pumped, and at what time of day. The keys can also be
programmed with a credit balance which declines as it
is used. New parameters and refreshed balances
are easy, because the keys are re-programmable
remotely and updates happen automatically during the
key's next use at the MCU.
User messages
at the MCU also personalize 24 hour unmanned
fueling and can remind operators that the vehicle
is "due for service". This feature
can also send drivers reminders to get re-certified,
a physical or give them an "atta
boy!" or "atta
girl!" for inspiration.
Easy to use software
makes vehicle and people tracking easy to achieve and
allows infinite "sort and filter"
under almost any scenario. The data is collapsed
daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly for easy
retrieval. Reports can be generated in various
formats: by department, vehicle,
operator, number of gallons pumped of a specific fuel
and time of day.
Off-site credit
card purchases can also be entered easily with
our software to record retail fueling transactions.
MegaTrak® has four methods of data
acquisition for security. The net host in
your office, the remote site controller at each
individual site, the MCU itself, and the smart chip in the
key.
"Disaster
fall-back plans" can be put into place between Megatrak users in an area , with special
arrangements and keys fueling can take place at each other’s
islands in case of a tornado or other natural disaster. Even now, the Corpus
Christi RTA is working to allow other entities to
fuel at their fuel islands in case of
hurricanes.
Conscious of the
environment, Xerox encourages their employees to
carpool to protect the ozone and offers fuel, priced
less than retail, in the form of "pre-paid"
gas keys as encouragement. Also, because they can
predict their fuel usage, they achieve better bulk
buy prices.
MegaTrak® also interfaces with third
party software applications and is ETL
approved to the UL standard for electrical and
fire safety.
